Meet Coach Jillian

Running wasn’t always part of my story.

In fact, during my CrossFit days, I avoided it completely. If a workout listed anything longer than a 400-meter run, I simply wouldn’t go. Running felt uncomfortable. Exposing. Hard.

Everything changed in 2021 when I trained for my first half marathon.

What started as a physical challenge became something much deeper. Through long miles and quiet roads, the Lord began teaching me what it truly means to remain steadfast. Running stretched my endurance- not only in my fitness journey, but in my faith journey. Each race, each training block, each moment of doubt became an invitation to trust Him more fully.

That first half marathon led to my first marathon. And after I crossed that finish line, something unexpected happened.

A friend who had followed my journey reached out to me. She had always dreamed of running a marathon herself and told me she felt inspired watching my transformation. She asked if I would run one alongside her to be part of her story the way mine had impacted her.

That moment changed everything.

I realized endurance wasn’t just about finishing hard races. It was about going first so someone else could believe they could too. It was about shining a light so others could see what’s possible.

Since then, my journey has taken me further than I ever imagined. From completing a 135-mile solo Pentathlon circumnavigating the island of Oahu, Hawaii, to training for and finishing my first Ironman 70.3. What once intimidated me became the very thing that shaped me.

Along the way, I began encouraging others who felt exactly like I once did- scared of the suffering, yet deeply longing for the challenge. Athletes who knew they were capable of more but needed guidance, structure, and belief.

That calling led me to found Steadfast Run Club in Bryan/College Station, a community rooted in perseverance, faith, and showing up together. And it eventually led to the creation of Steadfast Coaching.

Today, I coach and support athletes pursuing road races, triathlons, ultra distances, bike adventures, and bold endurance challenges. As a UESCA Certified Ultra Running Coach, I combine science-based programming with strength integration and intentional progression to help athletes train smart, build resilience, and perform confidently. My coaching is structured, sustainable, and designed to fit real life- because most of us are balancing work, family, and full schedules alongside big goals.

But more than anything, I care about who you become in the process.

If you’re ready to pursue something that stretches you, physically and spiritually, and you want a coach who believes in disciplined training, deep-rooted faith, and staying when things get hard, I would be honored to run alongside you.

Let’s stay steadfast.

“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” — Hebrews 12:1
